    In addition to larger changes to other carsets, the following have been repackaged and/or re-released with different carset names and in most cases new names for the manufacturers contained therein:

  • BAT7 Challenge (unchanged but with many manufacturer renames)

    Note: Many players are unhappy at the renames, however we are left with little choice given recent circumstances. Some players have made a Greasemonkey script to try and bypass these changes, however we have no control over this and the script is in no way recommended, endorsed or supported by BATracer.com.

    Missing Carsets

    A lot of people seem to be confused about missing carsets and think they will not be returning. The current reality is as follows:

  • LMES will be returning once offending vehicles have been removed from the championship.
  • A single carset will be removed permanently (was a one-make championship).
  • The "Grand Prix" themed carsets will slowly be returning but with considerable work to rebuild them without any trademark or design infringements.
  • Two US single seater racing carsets will also return after similar work.

    There is no precise timeframe for this work but the efforts are ongoing and will involve help from the community.

    Last Advertising Squares Now Available!

    After starting out with 3000 advertising squares we are now down to our final few - unsold ad-space now numbers 153 squares on the right hand side and just 20 on the left.


    We have also released the large rectangular areas for advertising which contain additional squares.
    (these have been labelled in yellow)

    Like GP Two, this is a re-released set. Teams are now built up from blank templates, and several name changes have been applied.

    GP Two

    GP Two is a re-released carset. The gameplay is largely unchanged however several cosmetic and naming changes have been made including that each player now starts with a blank car to paint as their own.

    Mid-Season Drives Return

    It is now possible to join mid-season games.

    LMES Re-Released

    LMES has been re-released in v2.0 guise. This update brings the following changes:

  • Two new cars will feature in GTS and GT classes to replace two which have been removed.

  • All cars will now start with blank liveries.

  • The number of points awards for the final race at Le Mans has been reduced from triple to double points.

  • The number of chassis available has been increased so many players could take the same car. Some "cherries" are still restricted.

  • Name changes.

    • Statement Concerning Infringement of Trademarks and Designs of Ferrari S.p.A. "Ferrari" of Maranello

    The inclusion of Ferrari material into BATracer was not authorised by Ferrari, and the activity of BATracer and it's user's contributions was not in any way related to Ferrari.

    As of 2nd November 2009 all such material has been removed.
