  • Events Calendar

    Snetterton Short Race

    Norfolk - 22nd April

The championship kicks off at Snetterton. Two long straights provide slip streaming battles and plenty of overtaking opportunities. Braking at the end of the back straight is not for the faint hearted.

    Snetterton Long Race

    Norfolk - 22nd April

The longer race uses the finishing positions from the short race to determine the starting grid.

    Cadwell Park Sprint

    Lincolnshire - 6th May

A legendary circuit sometimes referred to as Englands Nurburgring. This circuit is fast and dangerous, featuring undulating terrain and corners which you simply dont see on modern circuits.

    Cadwell Park Enduro

    Lincolnshire - 6th May

The enduro uses the finishing positions from the sprint for the grid.

    Rockingham 25

    Northamptonshire - 27th May

Great Britains superspeedway is an impressive venue with incredible facilities. Competitors race both on the oval and infield circuit for this round. The track surface becomes incredibly slippery when wet, and laptimes plummet.

    Rockingham 100

    Northamptonshire - 27th May

The finishing positions from the Rockingham 25 are used to determine the start order.

    Mallory Park Sprint

    Leicestershire - 10th June

Featuring both the longest corner and slowest corner in the UK, Mallory is a quirky little circuit - short, fast, wide and then narrow - its deceptivley simple.

    Mallory Park Enduro

    Leicestershire - 10th June

The enduro uses the finishing positions from the sprint.

    Mondello Park 40km

    Ireland - 1st July

Overseas to Ireland for the tight twisty Irish circuit of Mondello Park, this is the start of the Celtic middle season of the calendar and the only venue outside of the UK. The circuit allows little room for error and leaves plenty of opportunity to make mistakes for others to reap the benefit.

    Mondello Park 160km

    Ireland - 1st July

The starting grid order is determined by the finishing positions from the last race.

    Kirkistown 25 Miles

    Northern Ireland - 8th July

Across the border to Northern Ireland, Kirkistown is a former airfield venue. The venue is Northern Irelands only permanent car racing circuit, though even this is under threat from local opinion over noise. The circuit is in some ways similar to Snetterton, though shorter - so speeds are less.

    Kirkistown 100 Miles

    Northern Ireland - 8th July

The finishing positions from the previous race are used for the longer races starting grid.

    Knockhill Sprint

    Fife, Scotland - 22nd July

Located in the depths of Scotland on a hillside - this is the scene of some intense battles - and marks the return to mainland Great Britain. Crazy kerbs and blind crests keep everybody on their toes.

    Knockhill Enduro

    Fife, Scotland - 22nd July

The enduro uses the finishing positions from the sprint for the grid.

    Anglesey GP 25

    North Wales - 5th August

Situated right on the coastline of the North Western tip of Wales, the circuit has a unique atmosphere. The Irish Sea is just a few feet away wetting the rocks below, and on a clear day you are rewarded with fine views of the Lleyn Peninsula and Snowdonia National Park. The track itself has recently been rebuilt and is over twice the distance in length taking it closer to the sea.

    Anglesey GP Circuit 100

    North Wales - 5th August

The longer races takes its grid order from the finishing position of the previous race.

    Pembrey Short Race

    South Wales - 12th August

Originally considered to be the home of Welsh Motorsport, the circuit has fallen into the shadow of Anglesey Circuit which has been going from strength to strength in recent years. The circuit is one of two halves - the outer edge is very fast, but the inner sequence of corners seems to never end - in some ways similar to a modern speedway with an infield.

    Pembrey Long Race

    South Wales - 12th August

The longer race uses the finishing positions from the short race to determine the starting grid.

    Llandow 40km

    South Wales - 19th August

A slightly scrappy old airfield venue near Cardiff actually has quite a history, but did not run races for a couple of decades as it had fallen into disrepair. During this time, it still operated as a hill climb circuit running on part of the track which was in an acceptable state. Recent improvements have improved affairs greatly but its unlikely it will ever be able to host major race meetings again, despite being only 20 minutes from the capital of Wales.

    Llandow 160km

    South Wales - 19th August

The starting grid order is determined by the finishing positions from the last race.

    Castle Combe 25

    Wiltshire - 2nd September

A return to England hails the twilight period of the championship. Nearly 10 years have passed since Castle Combe was transformed by the addition of chicanes, it still remains a fast circuit - very challenging with some tricky and dangerous corners which really demand lots of testing prior to the race.

    Castle Combe 100

    Wiltshire - 2nd September

The finishing positions from the Castle Combe 25 are used to determine the start order.

    Donington Park 10 Laps

    Leicestershire - 16th September

Featuring the legendary Craner Curves, this race also includes the GP circuit extension which makes the total number of laps quite low. This is the penultimate race of the season.

    Donington Park 40 Laps

    Leicestershire - 16th September

The finishing order of the previous race is used to determine the starting grid. This is the final race of the season - good luck!

BAT Seven Challenge Racing Strategy Game

    BAT Seven Challenge

This is a legacy carset dating back before even the Alpha GP 2002 test series! Rather than leave it unfinished, it has now been roughly modernised to allow players to take part - though please allow for some aspects of this car series which are not quite up to the standard of the others.

    Qualifying

This is intended as a club kitcar type series, as a consequence qualifying is determined by your live practice (warmup) times!

This maximises the racing and also introduces a live element to qualifying not currently seen elsewhere on BATracer.

    Race Weekend

Race 1 - The first race is a short race with a grid order determined by your practice times.

Race 2 - There is an additional warmup period to allow you to hone your setup, but this race is much longer. Starting grid is determined by the finishing order from the previous race!

    Car Building

During driver signup you may have noticed a multitude of chassis, engine and tyre options. These allow you to build a package to suit your strategy. There is no one "perfect" package, and success will be deterined by getting the most out of what you are driving rather than simply choosing "the best car".

    Car Setup Options

This series is unique in having a field of cars with a varying number of different setup options. Cars with more setup options are generally faster, but harder to setup and produce more headaches if the weather changes.

Like V8S series, it is tricky to get setup feedback in this series.

    Tyres

Each tyre manufacture provides slick and wet tyres, but also two different road tyres - which should be considered as hard wearing Intermediates.
