Paul Ricard Winter TestingFrance - 5th February
"Winter Test 1.
The first test will allow us to focus on basic component selections and iron out any basic problems with the car. Later, we can focus more on specific performances and start to hone the handling of our machine."
Jerez Winter TestingSpain - 19th February
Winter Test 2.
This circuit is tighter than the other testing venues and so is a good opportunity to test out the higher downforce setups. You should finalise your supplier choices at the end of this testing session.
Monza Pre-Season TestingItaly - 7th March
With our car design nearly complete this is the final test before flying out to Melbourne. Monza has been selected for the final test as data gathered from low downforce running will be useful for the first few races of the season. We are going to take to the track with the other cars and run a dummy race stint.
MelbourneAustralia - 28th March
"This is the moment of truth. Will our cars be fast? Will they see out the full race distance? Drivers like the Albert Park circuit with its evenly-spaced and predictable corners, but the event often produces a race of attrition and this opening race with new cars will be no exception. This is the first of three fly-away races where it will be difficult to make major changes to the car for a while. Let's hope we've got a good package."
SepangMalaysia - 4th April
"Sweeping corners, tight bends and an atmosphere heavy with humidity makes this one of the most difficult races of the season for a driver. Malaysia is still in the grip of the rainy season, meaning heavy downpours can come without warning. Beware."
Abu DhabiUnited Arab Emirates - 28th April
"The first of two night races during this season, and this is the last race before returning to Europe where we can concentrate on making more car developments."
BarcelonaSpain - 9th May
"The Spanish GP enjoyed a revitalisation with packed grandstands in previous years. The racing can appear to be processional, though it does statistically have the reputation for hosting the most number of wet races. The good news is we have a little more time available to make car changes."
NurburgringGermany - 16th May
"Next to the legendary and original 13 mile circuit, GP cars still come to the modern safer equiverlent of today. The drivers seem generally happy with the circuit even if it appears a bit bland relative to the old circuit. Historically the modern circuit has been the scene of many incident-packed races."
Jerez Mid-Season TestingSpain - 21st May
"Mid-Season Test 1.
Let's use this time to try to make a breakthrough in our car design or the way we are running races. However, Monaco is the next race, followed by Montreal and Silverstone which by contrast are very fast circuits so any advances we make might not be felt for a while! Here at Jerez, we are going to try and make the most of our testing time and run another test race stint too."
MonacoMonte-Carlo - 30th May
Surely the most famous and glamorous GP circuits is the toughest of them all - with a beautiful harbour and many bars to visit. The narrow streets are real nightmare in a GP car and the race duration requires huge levels of stamina. Driver errors resulting in retirement are common. Very difficult to overtake!
MontrealCanada - 13th June
The Canadians still love their GP - though in the past their support for local heroes has rarely been rewarded. A temporary street circuit results in high speeds and heavy breaking. Rain is not uncommon.
SilverstoneEngland - 11th July
"Saving the British Grand Prix with a last-minute mercy mission, Silverstone now comes armed with a new layout that eliminates the single-file final sector in favour of a more open design that has been adapted from the brand-new motorcycle circuit."
HockenheimGermany - 25th July
"A circuit that many fans consider to be a castrated parody of its original form, the Hockenheimring is virtually guaranteed to produce a sell-out crowd with a strong German showing."
HungaroringHungary - 1st August
A natural bowl is the home for Hungary's race. Described as Monaco without the barriers for many years - recent changes have made it easier to overtake and a more interesting venue. It still requires high stamina.
Paul Ricard Mid-Season TestingFrance - 14th August
Mid-Season Test 2.
This is the last test for the final part part of the season. Paul Ricard is a fast circuit so this should yield useful information for Spa and Monza. We are going to do a fast simulated 20 lap race stint too and see how we measure up to our rivals as we begin the twilight phase of this championship.
Spa-FrancorchampsBelgium - 29th August
"Considered by most drivers to be one of the most challenging circuits, the elevation changes, high speed corners - especially Eau Rouge make this race one to look forward to. The weather is highly changeable and can put a spanner in the works of a well thought out strategy. The length of the lap is significant and thus only 59 laps make up the race distance."
MonzaItaly - 12th September
"With 73% of the lap at full throttle, Monza boasts the claim of being the fastest circuit on the calendar and having the most dedicated fan base. High speeds usually mean it is the shortest race of the season, meaning time is of the essence."
IstanbulTurkey - 19th September
"The first race at this venue proved popular in 2005, when the tricky turn 8 made the race very exciting. Overtaking is possible here if you can pressure other drivers into a mistake."
SingaporeSingapore - 26th September
"The second night race of the season, this is a circuit that is very heavy on the brakes - and overtaking is only for the most persistent. The last three races of the season are once again long distance affairs, so car upgrades will only be slight from now on."
SuzukaJapan - 10th October
The legendary Suzuka circuit has been the scene of many classic GP races. Its figure of 8 layout makes it unique - the track itself tests the driver with very fast corners such as 130R.
InterlagosBrazil - 7th November
Located in the city of Sau Paulo the Interlagos circuit has a rare anti-clockwise configuration. The track is very bumpy and requires a soft set up; engine power is also important with cars having to climb a hill up towards the start finish line. This is the final race of the season and has seen epic championship conclusions in past years. Our team has made a special effort to make some last final tweaks to the car which may swing things in our favour.
