    GP Two Racing Strategy Game

This carset is of Matt Simons origin, with help from Jef Beyens - scroll to bottom for full credits.

    GP Two

This series is inspired by the GP2 championship which replaced F3000 and is a stepping stone onto GP.

Designed to make racing affordable for the teams and to make it the perfect training ground for life in Formula One, GP2 has made it mandatory for all of the teams to use the same chassis, engine and tyre supplier so that true driver ability is reflected. Most races take place as support races at Formula One race weekends.

Although graduation to Formula One is not guaranteed, in the three years the series has been running, the champions have always graduated immediately into Formula One.

    GP Two in BATracer

As with the real series, all the cars are equal - like the A1GP inspired Formula Nations. However, GP Two has the distinction of two-car teams rather than single entries. This simple addition has been much called for since BATracers launch!

Because of the equal cars the effect of a poor setup is slightly increased in this carset - making a good start to each race weekend (as well as good team work) more important.

    Format

Each event consists of two rounds.

  • The first round is a feature race and involves a single mandatory pitstop.
  • The second event is a sprint race, shorter than the first - but with the qualifying order determined by a reverse grid format from the previous race for the top 8 only.

    Pole position: 2 points

    1st - 10 points
