Japan GT Racing Strategy Game

The Japan GT series, JGT for short, is the premier form of touring car racing in Japan. The series is promoted by the GT-Association (GT-A), and authorized directly by the FIA.

Born as an evolution of the JGTC series after many rule and series changes, todays Japan GT is split into two classes of mainly two door cars.

The GT500 grid is filled by the Japanese makes, Nippon, Hinda and Toyoma/Nexus and has a looser set of regulations that allows the teams to change various components of their cars. The idea allowing manufacturers to field competitive cars without the need for development and expenditure on homologation versions of the base road car. Electronic aids and carbon fibre brakes are prohibited, and placement/dimensions of aero devices are restricted.

The lower class, GT300, features more privateer teams and a more varied selection of cars from around the globe. Exotic makes such as ASCL and Remac compete alongside European makes Porca and Lantorino.

With all the cars being very similar in performance based upon intake restrictions, it is not uncommon to see several different teams on the top step of the podium in each class.
