CarsDaimler-Benz | Mercedes W25. One of the first cars built to a racing formula, made famous by charismatic Alfred Neubauer. Both lightweight and fast, the famous 'silver arrow' name comes from the legend of team's attempts at saving weight by not painting the car. | Auto Union | Auto Union "B-type". Armed with a hefty five-litre V16 engine, the Auto Union Type B has a distinctive mid-engined layout that appeared some twenty-seven years before Jim Clark and the dominant Lotus 25. | Automobiles E. Bugatti | Bugatti T59. Only a handful of these beautiful racing machines were ever built. Very simple in design, the T59 represented Ettore Bugatti's legacy to motor racing. Although it was not as successful as the German cars in major races, the Bugattis picked up several wins in time. | Schooner Team Wales A | Alfa Romeo Tipo B "P3". The first genuine single-seat race car, with a supercharged eight-cylinder engine. Although older and slower than their Schooner Team Wales "B" counterparts, the P3 is more reliable and has more room for development. | Schooner Team Wales B | Alfa Romeo 8C-35. Purpose-built racing cars, that, while not in the league of the Mercedes and Auto Unions on faster circuits, are a force to be reckoned with on tighter roads. Faster than the Schooner Team Wales "A" cars, but at the expense of reliability. | Schooner Subalpina A | Maserati 6C-34. With a top speed just shy of two hundred and fifty kilometres per hour, the Maserati 6C-34 is quick despite its age. Developments over the season should see it keep in touch with the leaders. | Schooner Subalpina B | Maserati V8RI. Designed by Ernesto Maserati, the V8RI is famous for its independent four-wheel suspension. With just two cars competing and very limited development, it is one of the smallest racing teams, but innovation goes a long way. |
EnginesMercedes-Benz M25C Straight-8 | 4310cc, roots supercharger, 402bhp | Auto Union V16 | 5610cc, roots supercharger, 375 bhp | Bugatti Straight-8 | 3257cc , roots supercharger, 240 BHP | Alfa Romeo Straight-8 | 3822cc, roots supercharger, 330 BHP | Maserati Straight-6 | 3226cc, roots supercharger, 260 BHP | Maserati V8 | 4788cc, roots supercharger, 320 BHP |

Events CalendarGrand Prix de Pau | Pau, France | The Pau circuit in France is one of the shortest on the calendar at just over two kilometres. But narrow roads and an endless series of sharp corners will make the drivers feel every one of its eighty laps. | | 24.02Grand Prix de Monaco | Monte Carlo, Monaco | In its eighty-year history, the Circuit de Monaco has remained relatively unchanged. This is the original layout, looping around the harbour to include the difficult Gazometre hairpin. | | 22.04Grand Prix de Tunisie | Carthage, Tunisia | A twelve-kilometre speedbowl in Tunisia is the second race in Africa. While not as famous as Mellaha Lake, it does have a few slower chicanes to make sure drivers are paying attention. | | 5.05Gran Premio di Tripoli | Mellaha, Libya | As a colony of Italy, Libya has earned a race of its own. The venue chosen was Mellaha Lake, known for its distinctive white tower, high speeds and a substantial cash prize that makes the Tripoli Grand Prix a favourite among drivers. | | 12.05Internationales AVUS-Rennen Heat Race | AVUS, Germany | One of the most unique - and certainly the most insane - circuits ever imagined: two ten-kilometre stretches of autobahn that seem to go on forever linked by a pair of of banked hairpins. | | 26.05Internationales AVUS-Rennen Final | AVUS, Germany | Second race at this magnificent track, having only top 10 from previous race on the starting grid. | | 26.05Grand Prix de l'A.C.F. | Montlhéry, France | The circuit at Montlhéry was an irregular fixture of pre-war Grand Prix racing, notable for its exceptionally high banking in the oval section and a layout reminiscent of AVUS. | | 23.06Grand Prix de Belgique | Spa-Francorchamps, Belgium | The original fourteen-kilometre monstrosity, including the incredible Masta Kink. The famous Eau Rouge layout is absent, taking on the form of the hairpin l'Anclenne Douanne, named for a customs checkpoint near the old German border. | | 14.07Großer Preis von Deutschland | Nürburgring, Germany | Second visit to the mighty Nordschleife, this time for the most important race of the season - German Grand Prix. | | 28.07Coppa Acerbo | Pescara, Italy | One of the longest circuit ever to host a Grand Prix race, Pescara takes in high-speed straights and an agonisingly-tight run through narrow and bumpy roads. | | 15.08Großer Preis der Schweiz | Bremgarten, Switzerland | A collection of high-speed corners that demands the utmost concentration from drivers. Tree-lined roads and poor lighting conditions make this circuit both difficult and dangerous, especially in the wet. | | 25.08Gran Premio d'Italia | Monza, Italy | An abridged version of the road course and now-unused banked section, this incarnation of Monza is characterised by slow chicanes and a pair of ninety-degree bends along the back straight. | | 8.09Gran Premio de Espana | Lasarte, Spain | A counter-clockwise circuit on the Bay of Biscay in Basque Country, Lasarte is home to the San Sebastián Grand Prix, taking its name from one of the towns it passes through. | | 22.09Velka Cena Masarykova | Brno, Czechoslovakia | At just under thirty kilometres in length, the original Masaryk Circuit in Czechoslovakia was dominated by the Mercedes-Benz 'silver arrows', but war interrupted the race, which was only held once between 1936 and 1949. | | 29.09Donington GP | Donington Park, Great Britain | Like Monaco and Monza before it, the modern Donington Park has changed little from its historical predecessor, with the section from Redgate to Coppice and Melbourne still largely the same as it was before the advent of war. | | 5.10George Vanderbilt Cup Race | Roosevelt Field, NY, USA | The only race in America is befitting of the demanding nature of this series: three hundred miles around Roosevelt Raceway, its dirty and loose surface uncharacteristic of most circuits. | | 19.10Targa Florio | Madonie, Italy | The longest circuit on the calendar at a staggering eighty kilometres in length. There will be no chance to learn the circuit in its entirety before the race, meaning driver errors are very likely. | | 02.11ADAC Eifelrennen | Nürburgring, Germany | The twenty kilometres of the "Green Hell" was as difficult in 1935 as it is today. The addition of the Südkehre is just one more corner for the drivers to try and remember. | | 16.06Gran Premio de Penya Rhin | Montjuich Park, Barcelona, Spain | The awesome Montjuich Circuit, considered to be one of the best racing venues of all time. The uphill section from the Start Line is made up of fast sweepers, while the roller coaster-like back half is as tight and demanding as it gets. | | 30.06 | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | |
Pre-war GP Racing Racing Strategy GameThis is a model of the Pre-War Grand Prix racing, featuring all the greatest teams of the era - Mercedes, Auto Union, Alfa Romeo, Maserati and Bugatti. It features a very unique points system, famous tracks like Spa, Nordschleife and Brno in their original layouts, long pit stops and the kind of old-fashioned, gentle racing that is uncommon these days.
Points.
1 point for 1st place 2 points for 2nd place 3 points for 3rd place 4 points for completing 75% of the race 5 points for completing 50% of the race 6 points for completing 25% of the race 7 points for completing less than 25% of the race 8 points to those who fail to start.
Pit stops.
Pit stops include refuelling. There is very high risk of spilling fuel during pit stop, which can result in a fire and subsequent retirement.
Damaged cars can be repaired during pit stops.
Drivers are suffering from fatigue during races, so be carefull when planning your strategy. During pit stops they can rest for a minute or so, take a drink of water and recover before going on track again.
Weekend format.
All events, except of AVUS-Rennen Final, George Vanderbilt Cup and Targa Florio, contains practice, two laps for qualifying and race. There is only one lap warmup.
Crashing during practice can have serious consequences. Damaged cars may not be repaired on time, which can lead to withdrawing from the race! In this case, the player will get 8 points for a DNS (did not start).
Special races.
There are 4 events that have an unusual format.
AVUS-Rennen race is split into 2 events. The first of them (AVUS-Rennen Heat) has the standard format - practice, quali and race. There are no points for this event. Furthermore, only the top 10 will qualify for the AVUS-Rennen Final race. The rest of the field receives 8 points for DNS. AVUS-Rennen Final does not have a separate quali session. The grid is formed based on the results of the AVUS-Rennen Heat race. Points are standard for this race (only for top 10 from Heat race).
George Vanderbilt Cup race has aggregate quali from 5 laps. The rest of the weekend is unchanged.
Targa Florio is the last event of the season. There are only 4 practice laps but with more feedback. There is no quali - grid is formed based on points standings. Drivers are starting with intervals, like on rally stages. Intervals are calculated from current points standings. The championship leader starts first, with all other drivers are starting x second behind him, where x is their points gap to the leader.
Tyres.
There are 3 types of tyres: - "Smooth" - dry tyres designed only for fast tracks like AVUS; - "Light Stud" - dry tyres with deeper grooves, can be used on both fast and slow tracks; - "Heavy Stud" - wet tyres, but can be also used in dry conditions on slow tracks like Monaco.
##### CREDITS FOR THIS CARSET #####
