RGB Table Guide

We've all been there...

Whilst painting a helmet or a custom car you can't seem to find the exact colour you need.

Well i've put together a guide here to help everyone get around that time-consuming problem.

==============================================================================

First of all you must know how to edit the colour of your helmet. (KOOL Tool users can just upload their's easily).

Look across the top tool bar and hover your cursor over "File", then select "Edit Account". At the top of that page it will say "Paint Your Helmet" and will have a picture of your helmet beside it. You must now click this.

Now you should see a rather complicated-looking page. As you know, you must mix colours to get a certain type other than red, blue or yellow.

First of all we're going to try a completely BLACK helmet. Do this by setting all of your values to "0" in the RGB table. You will now have a black helmet.

We'll now try going back to a white helmet which is completely the opposite of the black, so set all your values to 255.

Now that we know the closer your values are set to 255; the lighter it well be and the same for the darkness.

However, some colours do need meet the statement I have just covered!

Instead of my spending ages pointlessly posting different RGB colour values I will give you a handy URL. If this webstie ever get's deleted for example just go to google and type in "RGB Table" and it'll come up with one.

Visit this link first of all:
http://web.njit.edu/~kevin/rgb.txt.html

If we take "GREY" for example, it says under "R;G;B Dec" the values "84" for each one. So remember the number "84" and change ALL of your values to that number to get that colour! This will work with any colour on that site!

Once you've made some basic colours you are ready to make your crash helmet look a little more professional. You will firstly need to select a "SCHEME".

In my example i'm going to use the first scheme and choose the colour to be GREY, so all the values will need to be "84". The helmet should now look completely GREY. I now want to add a bit of RED into my helmet. First of all I find the RGB colours for red on the site which are "255;64;64" for the shade i'm using. Now enter the colours "255;64;64" going across under the colour row of "RED", seeing as that's the colour i'm adding in. You should now see a red band going through the middle of the helmet (for the scheme i'm using). Once you've grasped this try it with different colours and schemes. Once you feel good enough to advance even further you should read on.

Staying with our example above, i'm going to try to add a bit of light blue into the helmet. So i'll find a light blue colour using the site and the values it's given me are: "0;255;255". Now you have to add these values into the "BLUE" colour row as that is the colour we're trying to add. YOU MUST CHANGE YOUR HELMET SCHEME TO SEE THE NEW COLOUR THAT YOU JUST ADDED, AS THE ONE WE USED IN THE EXAMPLE ONLY USES 2 COLOURS! Your helmet should now have grey, red and light blue in it!

Now I shall add another colour to the helmet. I'm using the colours we've used in the previous paragraphs but i'm using the last helmet scheme on the first row. I now want to add an ORANGE/GOLD colour. On the site i've found the values "255;165;0". It's classed as yellow so replace your YELLOW VALUES with those values.

This will be my last colour added to the helmet, it's going to be a SEA GREEN. On the RGB Table site the values show "35;142;104", and replace the GREEN VALUES with those values.

TADA! You have just learned how to change your helmet colour a whole lot easier and quicker. This can also be done with your BTCC or Champ Car. Thanks for reading this rather long guide and good luck!
