Alexander Cyr made a post in the forum about his way of testing that works for him - He says that if the engineer says its soft then its between 0-50, medium 25-75, hard 50-100. Well it is very true that the perfect settings should be in these ranges.
However what are initial value to start of if the "engineer's advice" shows medium? For example:
Medium downforce Medium Suspension Stiff ARB-s
I know there are lot's of people try with these values:
Wings 50 50
Suspension 50 50
Anti roll bars 75 75
But my suggestion is, look at the map. If the track is a mid-high speed track with tight corners such as Sepang, you will probably want your car to have high mechanical grip and slight oversteer. Make your front spring harder and the rear, so does anti roll bar.
With that you will have a car which is slightly oversteer that suits the track at bone dry condition. Same thing applies to wet condition but the difference in value should be greater than those for dry.
With the help of "8 system" you are likely to get 100% spot on before the qualifying.
