Setup Advice & Guide for New and Pro Players (Formatted)



A lot of BATracer players have difficulty in setup. At the start, I was the same. Finally, I found three ways that, God willing, are useful.

  • If practising in sunny weather, use the tire with the softest compound (number 1.1) continuously, even if the tire has written "need replacing" is not wise. It will be a fatal decision at the race as you have a limited option for tires and also add driver errors during the flying laps.



  • Always pay attention to the engineer's suggestions before starting practice.



  • If you are a beginner, choose the Consistent and Thinker driver characteristics (if you can choose two) so you can set the experimentation to 100 with a bigger risk of worn-out tires.

    In the engineer's note, the numbers are not written, but the sizes are medium, hard, soft, stiff, loose. To make it easier, I wrote the approximate numbers as follows:



    Suggestion: Approximate (starting from ....)


    High: 63-100 (67/75)


    Hard: 65-100 (70-78)


    Stiff: 60-100 (65-73)


    Loose: 50-59 (55)


    Medium: 37-62 (45/50)


    Medium (Brake Bias): 41-49 (45)


    Low: 0-36 (25/17)


    Safe: 31-39 (35)


    Soft: 0-45 (20/28)


    Short: 0-35 (13/20)





    When you've finished the free practice session, there will be an "Estimation Updated" notification.
    Increase / Decrease Setting. For brake bias, increase/decrease by 4 points, then after meeting a new range, take the middle. For example, suppose you are testing the number 50, an estimation increase. Change it to 54, if you find the range 50-54, take 52. If you still ask to increase, keep on increasing until you find the range.



    For other than brake bias, take 8 points. If you are testing at 76, ask to increase. Make it 84, if you find a range 76-84, take 80.



    Sometimes there is a notification that "the perfect setup lies 2 points beyond the capabilities of the car". This means that there is a part of the setup that is two points above 100, or 2 points below 0.



    NB:


    Not all of my suggestions are 100% accurate, sometimes it can be more or less than the numbers listed.
    For maximum results do add or less 8-8, 6-6, 4-4, 2-2, and 1-1
